Weekend Spoil.....

On the weekend after work i thought i would stop past the local beauty supply store and buy some nail polish. For some reason i have this need to buy polish instead of cosmetics.... very strange...

So i bought, from left to right, Rainbow, Awakening n VII in China Glaze nail polish and i also got a Benefit lipgloss for free with a magazine.

NOTD: VIII

Benefit Lipgloss in : "Didn't Hear it From Me"

This gloss smells like vanilla and is smoothing on my lips. The downside of it though is that after wearing it for the whole day it actually left this film on my lips which looked kinda dirty... ewww ;p But all in all it was for free so i am not too fussed....

And this is my FOTD...... this is what i looked like today.... well before work anyways!

Xmas Set,,,,, or for the Makeup artist.......

NAPOLEON PERDIS XMAS SET: "Kiss Miss"

While i was on my lunch break i walked through DJ's andnoticed all the xmas present ideas in the beauty section and i stumbled upon this cute little set of Lip Lacquers!!! They were so CUTE and were $45 AUD for the 5 set.

These are THE best lipglosses ever. They are super thick but not sticky and last for ages!!! The oter thing i like about it is that the glitter in the gloss is so small that it doesn't look tacky!!! These would be a perfect idea for a gloss addict r makeup artists as they provide some variety without itbeing too costly.

China Glaze FYI

Today i had to repaint my nails so i randomly picked a bottle out of the big stash that i have and picked..... China Glaze "FYI"... and the results are below.... (please excuse the badly painted nails as i have gone over my skin... ;p)

Harajuku Lovers Fragrance..... "Music"

So hubby and i went shopping AGAIN!!! ....... and i walked past a cosmetics/fragrance discount store t Brand Depot called "The Perfume Connection" (and might i add it has BETTER products and a better layout than the original store in the city) and i saw Gwen Stefani's new range of fragrances. I had seen them at DJ's in a set (which was better value, all 5 for $130) but i just couldn't help myself so hubby let me choose one today that he would buy for me and i LOVE them they are too CUTE! Just like it says on the lip of the box "A Fatal Attraction to Cuteness"

Actually on the way home my hubby said to me "you like the fragrance more cos of the packaging... you got sucked in" and yes i hate to admit he is right....The smell is so fruity but fresh! Which suits me!!! I am so inlove with it and the packaging is gorgeous!!

The website describes it as "A delicate floral. Sparkling. Yummy. Juicy"

Top: Sparkling Pear, Clementine
Mid: Sweetpea, Jasmine Sambac, Honeysuckle
Base: Sleek Woods, Vanilla and Skin Musk

I can't wait to collect the rest of them..... maybe i'll get the set tomorrow...... hehehe ;p

NP Set

(L) Island (R) Hawaii

Today hubby DRAGGED me to the shops (i know was it opposites day today???) and we stopped by the local Target when i noticed that it was 25% off makeup today! WOOT!!! ;p
I decided to have a look at the newly launched NP Set range by Napoleon.... now i know Napoleon cops ALOT of crap from mak
eup artists around here but i really like his Lip Lacquer lipgloss range so i thought with a discount why not try the other range?

Island
Hawaii

So i bought 2 lip glosses "Hawaii" and "Island".... they both smell SO YUMMY and feel so nice on the lips. I like the fact that it doesn't feel drying on my lips and it is super glossy, although not as long lasting as the lacquer range. The 2 shades look very different in the packaging but when they are put on they are very similar and natural looking which is the style i like.

After having a quick look over the packaging though i noticed that this product is made in China... whereas his lip lacquers ($35) are made in USA....
Even though i only bought these at $16 each (RRP $22) i find that that is alot to pay for glosses made in China when i could've bought something exactly the same for only $2 or $3 at Cos Cut down the road.

Overall though, i think they are a nice gloss with a SWEET taste, cute packagin too... not too bad for the discount price but would i buy it again? Probably not.I'd rather fork out that little extra to get the better product.
