As you know i purchased a whole lot of makeup recently @ the MAC Pro store in Sydney to add to my kit. Among those purchases was a bottle of MAC Pro Airbrush foundation. I bought ONE bottle (for my own personal use to try out before i stocked my kit with it) and I cannot BELIEVE how inferior this product is in comparison to the Temptu range.....
Sure, the MAC airbrush makeup comes in a bigger package $60 for 50ml as opposed to Temptu $40 for 30ml, but the longevity, colour and finish, pale in comparison.
One of the big issues for me was the dry time. I have a set routine of how i get ready for work every morning.
1> blow dry hair
2> apply primer, then foundation
3> dry foundation with air from airbrush gun
4> powder
5> straighten hair
6>apply rest of makeup
When i use the temptu formula it is already dry by the time i apply the powder.... the MAC formula however is still not dry and the bristles of my brush are covered with the foundation.

as i have limited time in the morning, i have no time to take it all off and start again so i add a little more powder using a puff, hoping that it will some how miraculously solve my problem.. but to no avail. i spend the whole day trying to hide my face at work... a bit hard when you are a receptionist!
during the day i notice that the foundation is worseing in wear throught the day. when i touch my face the foundation just slips right off (unlike the temptu formula which stays put ALL DAY!)
when i got home i was so apalled that i had to take a picture and show you what had happened!!!
HOW DISGUSTING IS THIS???? it's like my pores became giant and swallowed big pools of my foundation....and the worst thing is, is that my temptu foundation ran out yesterday and all i have left is this $h*tty mess of a product.
MAC- you have let me down TWICE now..... the more i buy from there the less i love them... the only thing that i am still in love with are the eyeshadows, and the pro longwear makeup... :(
I only wish there were more reviews of this out there, so i could've saved myself some money... now i have to wait a whole nother fortnight before i can order some temptu... so heart broken..
Hopefully i've saved someone from making the same mistake~!!

MAC Brow Set "Clear"
So as you can see from my previous Sydney shopping trip i bought the MAC brow set in clear as i am wanting to concentrate on grooming the brows for photoshoots and also for myself when i wear makeup for work etc.
I was so excited to try this cos some of my MUA friends have been RAVING about it and MAC in general (lately i have been becoming more and more disappointed in MAC).
I tried it on Monday just past, and i am so disappointed with how this product DOESN'T work... it doesn't "set" my brows or hold anything... it looked terrible. i would've gotten better results from a tub of vaseline for $3 instead of spending $28 on this....
So children, don't invest in this product... i would recommend using vaseline, or "the makeup store" brow primer or even just a cheap clear mascara.... don't waste approx 1 hours worth of wages on this crap just cos it's "MAC"....

FINAL EVALUATION OF PACKAGE
So,i finall went through EVERYTHING that i got sent from Melinda and all in all it wasn't too bad, although i found 22 fakes within the pigments! I compared them against my originals and also researched some stuff on the net andthese ones were MEGA dodgy.
They didn't have the "Coltainer" or the numbers on the bottom of the jars, they also had dodgy printing, lids (with really bad edges, not sitting flush with the jar) and the stickers and boxes were pretty dodgy. Some of them smelt REALLY bad!!! I didn't even want to touch it.
I have sent Sharon an email and hopefully this gets sorted out!
All in all not a bad ending to this story, let me know how you all went!

MAC Eyeshadow Pots.
First of all i would like to say a HUGE thanks for the support everyone showed me while this whole saga was going on and for those of you who still have no money to show and fake products I send my thoughts and prayers to you! If i can help you in anyway PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE contact me.
Fortunately, I recieved 100% REAL MAC stuff!!! BUT the negative was that i didn't get what i ordered, but I learnt a lesson from all of this and i will NEVER buy things off the net again.....
(UPDATE 15/07/09 - on further inspection some are fake and some are real. i will be sending back the fake ones OR holding onto them until authorities contact me back.)
"Sharon" i hope you can battle this out and get your money back. I am sorry if i ever sounded rude but i was just so angry over this whole situation! Let me know if i can help you too!

Everything is in check, even with th bottom of the pigment jar (although my camera is not very good! The "Coltainer" is there onthe bottom as well as the numbers

Hey all.... i am just going to post some of the emails i have been recieving in regards to packages. I have taken out the email senders names... but this should give you an idea of where everyone stands!
I really wish i hadn't bought from this STUPID woman! I had just finished my makeup course and this was supposed to help me start my kit.... now i have to put those dreams on hold and wait til this stupid claim works out. I will keep you all updated on the arrival of my package. I will be taking Video documentation as well as photos!
Here are the emails:
1>"AHHHH is all I have to say. Mine came from Canada, I took pictures and video taped it. I got fakes, Im really upset about all of this. I am thinking about emailing Mac about all of this letting them know that whoever Sharon/Mel are selling fake Mac. Also why would some boxes come from USA and some from Canada? If this Sharon wasnt on for sooo long why are there boxes coming from the US. Im filling a report on Mon. I have talked to them both but it sounds like a bunch of BS. When you open your box if you accept it take alot of pictures. I can send you a list of the fake colors I got if you want so if you get them you know what colors to look at first. I may also email ebay, thats where I found her the sight was listed on her ME page I think and they need to know about this too. So I have a very busy day on Monday. Why is she only refunding people if the package came from the US?"
2> I was told if I return my cosmetics I would get a refund, ha that didnt happen. I had them sent back by the 22 and have proof it got there. I made my paypal dispute a claim because I didnt hear back from mel and I was sick of the runaround. Paypal decited to close my claim process because it only applies to the shipment of the products. They didnt care I got fake items. Mel also told me she had 9 people look at the Mac and they didnt see anything wrong with it, it was fake though im not a complete moron. I just want to make sure you or anyone else dosnt get my old shipment of crap. I will try to find my list of what I did get and email that to you as well. I hope nobody tries to sell any of this because it being fake it could be a health hazard not knowing what the ingredents are. Thats why I wanted to return it as soon as possible I have 2 little boys and they get into my makeup and I didnt want them getting into that. Also before I forget she said she was going to send me a check and have me sign I wasnt going to press charges, but because I treatened her I would have to wait a few more days ( thats been more that a few days) I also didnt threaten her I told her I was going to call the cops and write Mac and Ebay. Rawww this makes me so angry. Anyways feel free to post my last letter but please take out my name and email address. I will get the list and pics to you soon here is my list of fakes I got though.
3> I am with you completely - my tracking number is different so maybe just maybe we might get something - however from what I can see from her feedbacks she has only ever sent out Smashbox stuff no MAC so I am in great doubt that we will actually get any MAC and then I bet we don't get what we actually ordered just rubbish - I would be extremely surprised if we got anything else besides smashbox and I don't know about you but that stuff isn't that popular in Aus. I am also of the opinion that this is a lady using two names (hiding under one) and now she has successfully worked a pretty reasonable business into the ground is trying desperately to pick up the pieces and try and resurrect something from the ashes. I am glad you complained to the people you complained to - how do you do that - I probably need to know so I can do it too.
And actually I didn't get all my refund just half of it so I am going to have to go through the fraud department to try and claim some of the rest back which is annoying - takes time and makes me mad - I ordered quite a lot so I am out of pocket by a big amount of money and that is most annoying. The other thing I noticed is that your tracking number does not actually say the package has been picked up, just that they have been notified so it probably hasn't been sent. However if you have a claim in with paypal, hopefully you will get your money back because she hasn't proven that the goods have been sent to you.

I have also been gettin emails from "Kiara's Boutique".... another ebay store.... does anyone have information on them. Tried google and nothing came up...

So i just went into paypal and looked up my parcel tracking number....
my impending doom is on it's way to me as we speak!
So as i suspected the package DID leave from the US NOT CANADA as Sharon stated...... (gotta make you second guess everything now huh?) So please enlighten me, why didn't i get my refund as supposedly all the others who got packages sent from the US?
